Found poem: Found poems take existing texts and refashion them, reorder them, and present them as poems. The literary equivalent of a collage, found poetry is often made from newspaper articles, street signs, graffiti, speeches, letters, or even other poems.*1
This found poem was the result of a creative writing workshop I hosted independently during my research fellowship, with Ardingly College. I invited the participants of the workshop to give me one word to describe their experience of the workshop. The words that were collected were written down, and I then wrote a "poem" / mindmap around these words.

My soul is UNAFRAID
DREAM team - pen & paper
I feel SAFE at school?!
Works BEAUTIFUL?!
AWEING
POWERFUL
ENLIGHTENING to just connect
Write and reflect
MEMORIES for this moment and maybe some more
FREEING feeling from what I'm dealing with
INSPIRING...brain rewiring, creative mind complying, fears slowly dying
INCLUSIVE
REFRESHING reflections
A new rhyme scheme smells like fresh air
Tastes like hope
KNOWLEDGE BROADENING
Information truly is power
POWERFUL both the work and myself
INSPIRATIONAL
REFLECTIVE meditations
STUPENDOUS
EYE OPENING
May they never close...
